Boudoir sessions are the perfect way to take time for yourself and appreciate everything you’ve accomplished. I recently had Carol in the studio who decided to do a boudoir shoot for her soon-to-be-husband after being inspired by a friend who did a shoot of her own. She walked out of the studio with a new sense of confidence and I’m so glad I got to work with her.
Take a look at what Carol had to say about her experience:
“My name is Carol. I’m 34 years old, turning 35 this year. I live in Connecticut and I’m a chef. I love cooking. I am a director of dining services for an assisted living community. But I also do food competitions all over the country currently with my sous chef and soon-to-be- husband, Nick.
He is amazing. We competed the last two years at the World Food Championships and ended up placing second in the world and seafood two years in a row. So this year I will be competing in Dallas, Texas, and I’m hoping that we can say that we are the world seafood champions this year. That’s that’s the goal. The competition will be about two months after our wedding, and I’m insanely excited about that!
We’re getting married in Long Island and as my wedding gift to him, I decided to do a boudoir photo. My best friend Jen who I trust completely did something like this for her husband years ago. So I said, “you know what?, I think I need to do this for him.”
So I had a huge family tragedy almost two years ago now and Nick was the guy that stood by me and got me through it. So I thought it was the least I could do to give him something to remember and to enjoy. When I met Ina, I really bonded with her and I said “this is what I’m going to do.” Ina made the experience something so easy, so effortless and gave me the confidence to go through every step, every move, every pose.
One of the best things that I got out of this experience is that it gave me an excuse to take care of me. I haven’t done that in way too long.
So I got my nails done, makeup done, hair done — everything. Ina made me look and feel like a queen. Once I saw the photos, I was absolutely stunned that I could look like that and that the way I feel inside, I saw outside.
I don’t even have words for how much I loved this experience, how much I love my photos and how I just — I absolutely want to do it again.
I feel like this is something that I want to do throughout my life and have kind of a record as we go along with all of my life’s achievements and excitements because the wedding is just the first step of Nick & I’s life together.
If you are even remotely thinking about doing a boudoir shoot, reach out to Ina, she’s amazing and she will guide you every step of the way, give you information every step of the way and make you feel like the queen that you are.”
